Local councils are responsible for providing a program of activities for residents. The choices are wide and varied – educational seminars like writer's corner and sports workshops, fun events like movie nights, games nights and trivia sessions, sustainability practices like clothing swap parties and under aged dances are just a few examples. You can search a complete list of events on the
Youth Week NSW website.
Wheelie Bins is a unique new addition to the Youth Week line up. The Wheelie Bin Beat Box is a portable, solar powered amplification unit that travels across western Sydney throughout the week. website.
The penultimate Youth Week event is Youth Rock, a local band competition whose previous winners include silverchair and Alex Lloyd. The heats begin on Wednesday 6 April and the finals take place on Sunday 10 April at
