Event: 14/10/2011 - 16/10/2011
I love Anglesea. I love music. When the two combined in October 2010, the first
Anglesea Music Festival was born - and I remain ecstatic. The 2011 festival, held from October 14th to 16th, promises to be an inspiring and uplifting family event - and one definitely not to be missed.

This three-day celebration in what has to be one of the most picturesque and unspoiled towns along the Great Ocean Road brings together musicians from all walks of life - a mix between grassroots and highly acclaimed performers across all genres in various venues across town.

The affordable, not-for-profit festival also attracts buskers, families, local communities and visitors from far and wide to the quiet Surf Coast town in support of local live music. While last year's lineup included Shane Howard, Chris Wilson, Dave Steel, Tiffany Eckhardt, Wendy Stapleton and Lisa Edwards, emerging artists drew equally large and enthusiastic

audiences. This commitment to and support of new talent is an important part of the Anglesea Music Festival and an element that sets it apart from others.

This year will bring more than 90 music acts to Anglesea, including Sarah Carroll and Chris Wilson, Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows, Sarah Carnegie, Cold Snap, Wild Moves, Laura Hill and many, many more. Check out the fabulous line up.

There'll also be hands-on, inspiring workshops presented by musicians (included in the ticket price) and a large art, craft and local produce weekend market around the main marquee, while buskers, music, food and refreshments will on offer around town. Toss in some beautiful beach walks along a spectacular rugged coastline and you have the ingredients for a perfect long weekend. Hope to see you there.
