The Queen's Theatre is home to many different events and the Bowerbird Bazaar is something very special indeed. Currently held twice a year, this unique market is a place where designers of many different mediums can showcase their wares. The market is open to both the public and retailers, allowing over 75 creative artists from all over Australia to display and promote their products.
Featured designers include Electric Firefly whose works reflect the 1920s deco era, as well as a touch of modern classic. Ayakawa is a label that specialises in the most beautiful Japanese inspired silk ties, and there's also screenprinted textiles by Captain Robbo. Jane Robertson creates the most incredible ceramics fused with iron and her pieces are very unique.
Other mediums include jewellery, homewares, vintage inspired
clothing and accessories, most of which are produced with ethical and environmentally sound techniques.
Bowerbird Bazaar is held in October from the 28th to the 30th and is packed with great atmosphere, fabulous food, wine and music.
