I'm a proud Adelaidean with a healthy obsession with live music and performance, red wine and Mexican food.
Event: 15/10/2011 - 16/10/2011
Do you crave Camembert? Gobble Gouda? Or relish Roquefort?

Then CheeseFest 2011 is for you.

This gourmet festival is perfect for cheese lovers and enthusiasts. Held over a spring weekend in picturesque Rymill Park, this is the biggest cheese festival in Australia.

You'll have the chance to sample cheese, watch cheese making and cooking demos and even attend a 'master class.' And for the first time, the organisers will be running competitions and games too.

There's plenty to keep the kids entertained, including circobats and facepainting, and with stalls bursting with SA's best food and beverage – there's more than enough to keep adults happy.

You'll be able to feast on food from Cocolat, The Spice Kitchen, 12 Tables Desserts and pair your meal with wine, beer or cider from Coriole Vineyards, Brew Boys, Nepenthe Wines and The Hills Cider Company.

And not forgetting the most important thing - Cheese stalls include La Casa Del Formaggio , Alexandrina Cheese Company and Udder Delights.

For a full list of stall holders, visit the CheeseFest website.

Entry is $15 for one day or $25 for both and this includes your own fancy Official CheeseFest souvenir wine glass.

Tickets are available now from Venuetix.

I'm definitely going to have to go to this this year! I remember hearing about it (I think it was last year) but I didn't end up going, and was so disappointed. I'm such a huge cheese fan, but always get a little bit overwhelmed by the huge range of choice. Looking forward to heading along here and having a try of so many different ones.

I also think Rymill Park is such a great location to have it. It's one of my favourite parks in Adelaide. such a nice space, and plenty of activities to do. I'm already getting excited about all that cheese, I'm just going to have to try and contain myself until october! :) Thanks for the tip!
