New York City visitors and residents alike will enjoy the
Children of the World Festival 2011 to be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011, from 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM. The event is held on the Avenue of the Americas from 42nd to 56th Streets in Midtown Manhattan. Admission is free.
Children and adults alike will find something of interest during this event. Cultural displays and exhibits from all over the world are featured. In addition, there are arts and crafts displays and food vendors.
You can see how children from all around the world celebrate their different cultures, and try some of the foods that may seem unusual to us, but are very familiar to them. Food items may include those things that make up part of their daily lives, as well as special dishes served at holidays and celebrations.
There's no telling what you might see at this unique event. And, parents don't tell your children, but they might just learn something.
