Event: 13/10/2011 - 16/10/2011
How ever nice your home is, bare walls can make it look unfinished – but where can you see a whole lot of affordable art in one place? At
The Freize Art Fair, held every October.
It's held in Regent's Park, so the park in its autumn colours is the fair's beautiful backdrop, but they usually get a team of architects in to design the pop-up gallery, making it extra artistic. And they ship the art in from
170 different galleries from around the world, so there are plenty of pieces that you'd normally have to travel to source.
As well as displaying works for sale, the fair also hosts arty events such as talks, lectures, projects and a whole 'artists education schedule'. A weekend pass will allow you to attend some of the events. So if you don't find something you fancy at the fair you can think about making some art of your own – you'll probably be inspired enough!
Why? Lots of art that you can take home with you
