Event: 04/03/2012
Holi is, without a doubt, the most entertaining, colourful and fun for all ages festival of any religion anywhere on the planet. The day is celebrated with people throwing coloured powder or coloured water at each other. No one is spared!

The Australian Indian Innovations Inc brings Holi downunder to the Sandown Racecourse each year in March. Everyone is welcome and you don't need to be Hindu to participate. In fact, you'll quickly be throwing colour at strangers as you're easily welcomed and included in the festivities.

The day includes a DJ, food and variety stalls, children's rides, the official Holika Dahan at noon and a fashion show with guest appearances by Miss India-Australia Bollywood 2008/Miss Earth Australia Water 2010, Rima Das.
