Event: 19/06/2011
Held in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust, the Marylebone Summer Fayre takes place on Sunday 19th June, and everyone is invited to go along.

The fayre is divided into coloured zones, each one with its own distinct identity. Let's take a look to see what each one will be offering....

Blue zone – Also known as the "Chill Out zone", here you can enjoy a picnic or a light lunch while relaxing in the park gardens. You'll also be able to kick back to some live music between 1pm and 7pm. There'll be a playground too, which'll keep the kids happy. The Blue Zone is a "focussed charity zone", packed with a variety of stalls selling goods to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Buy something at the Festival Bar and 100 percent of the cost will go to charity.

Purple zone – Here you'll find the Cabbages & Frocks market selling, among other things, hot and cold food together with plenty of liquid sustenance to carry you through the day. Enjoy performances taking place on the Acoustic Stage while tucking into your lunch. Kids can play about on the fire engine or explore Spider Mountain, which hopefully isn't quite as scary as it sounds.

Green zone – More food available here, with the likes of La Fromagerie, The Ginger Pig and The Marylebone offering up some fine fare.

Red zone – This is a lively one. Hosting the popular Jive Nation dance stage, here you can enjoy a variety of demonstrations and classes through the day. And be sure to look out for the arts and crafts stall on Paddington Street.

Orange zone – There are plenty of things for kids to do at the Marylebone Summer Fayre, with the Orange zone providing some of the best entertainment. Besides a badge-making workshop, look out for the bungee trampoline, Victorian carousel, Ferris wheel and giant slide. There'll also be a farmers' market so the adults don't feel left out.

Brown zone – More food stalls (yes, there are a lot of food options at the Marylebone Summer Fayre), and salsa dancing (try it on a full stomach at your own risk, though).

Pink zone – Relax to the sounds of a brass band, while eating yet more food. You'll find Italian nosh here, as well as fish and chips, vegetarian Indian and the 108 street bar.

Be sure to buy a ticket or two at the tombola, being organised by local estate agent Sandfords. You'll find it on Paddington Street. Prizes include cookery lessons from Aga, a luxury gift bag from By Malene Birger, a stay at the Chandos Hotel, and a soothing massage at Chuan Spa at The Langham.

The Marylebone Summer Fayre looks like it should make for a special day out – just be sure to arrive with an empty stomach.
