Miss Elm is the stage name of local Brisbane musician Erin Harrington. Her style of music is very unique: there is a dash of the vocals of Kate Miller-Heidke, a sprinkling of the cheek of Lily Allen, and a whole lot of the crazy-awesome of Erin Harrington.
She is a very contemporary singer/songwriter and she writes a lot of light-hearted, head-boppy songs about things like Facebook stalkers, telemarketers and ice cream, but she also has her slower, more meaningful tracks, which are just plain beautiful.
She has been playing the pubs and clubs circuit throughout The Valley for the past few years and over the last couple of months she has also been in the studio recording her first EP. To celebrate the EP, which is set for release on November 11, Miss Elm is embarking on a tour, starting in Melbourne on the October 21 and concluding with the EP launch in Brisbane.
If it sounds interesting then you should come along to one of her shows and give your support to a awesome local talent. If you want to listen to some of her music online then head on over to Miss Elm's
