Battersea Park is one of London's coolest venues. It's always hosting something hipster-y. So it shouldn't come as a surprise to me that they're showing three of my favourite films of all time here, with that great behemoth the power station as a perfect backdrop for them, in a short season of pop up cinema care of Lexi Cinema.

First up is The Third Man, which is showing on Wednesday the 10th of August. This is my Dad's favourite film ever, and possibly also mine (I'm more fickle), a gem from the mind of Graham Greene, brought to life by Orson Wells and the atmospheric and expressionistic cinematography of Robert Krasker. Cast against that crazy little theme tune that sticks in your head. Proper genius.

See why I didn't fancy him?

Next up with have the film I would have told you was my favourite if you had have asked me between the ages of about 8 and 14: Labyrinth. I didn't fancy David Bowie – he had too much hair and not enough leg muscle for me – but I wanted to BE Sarah, thrown into a magical world to be befriended by puppets. Dress the part if you want to – I will be. Labyrinth is showing on the 17th of August.

And last up is one of the films that I can always rely on to make me feel better if I'm feeling a bit blue: Little Miss Sunshine, the tale of one of the strangest and funniest family road trips ever conceived and/ or executed. LMS is showing on the 3rd of August.

Bring picnics and blankets, but no glass please folks.

Doors open at 7:45 and the show starts at 9.
Tickets from £8.50 - £12 – less than the price of a regular cinema ticket – and some of it goes to charity.
