Billed as the UK's leading national theatre company,
the Royal Court works hard to bring to the fore new work by talented up-and-coming writers.
The non-commercial theatre, based in Sloane Square in Kensington, was established 140 years ago and has attracted audiences from across the land ever since.
Starting late September, the Royal Court will be popping up in a former cricket bat factory in Peckham, south-east London.
The pop-up theatre is part of the Royal Court's
Theatre Local project and hopes to emulate the success of last year's pop-up event which took place inside the empty Elephant & Castle shopping centre.
This time the venue is the
Bussey Building in Peckham, a location that's fast becoming a popular cultural hub in the community.
The Royal Court's
Theatre Local presents, at the Bussey Building, two new productions -
Truth and Reconciliation by Debbie Tucker Green, which "explores the very personal, human stories at the heart of conflicts in South Africa, Rwanda, Bosnia, Zimbabwe and Northern Ireland".
And
The Westbridge by Rachel De-Lahay, which "explores the complexities of life, relationships and friendships across a minefield of racial and cultural differences." The Westbridge is set in south London.

The Westbridge runs from 3rd November to 19th of November.
Theatre Local involves a rather innovative ticketing system. You can either purchase tickets in advance for £10 or -- and here's the innovative bit -- you can pay what you like on the door.
With community interaction very much a big part of
Theatre Local, the Royal Court Theatre will also be running a number of workshops and other events, which are open to local community groups.
The workshops take participants behind the scenes of the two theatrical productions taking place in Peckham as part of
Theatre Local. They're free and suitable for those aged over 14.
