Fans of Roxette can finally dig out their old leather pants and peroxide as the Swedish Pop/Rock duo head to Australia in February 2012. It has been 25 years since Roxette released their first single, following with a string of world-wide hits including; Listen to Your Heart, Joyride, It Must Have Been Love and The Look.
It's been a long 17 year wait for Roxette fans since their last tour of Australia in 1995 and following lead singer, Marie Fredriksson being diagnosed with a life-threatening brain tumor in 2002; chances to see them perform again were next to none. Fredriksson suffered severe brain damage following the treatment of her illness and lost the ability to read and count, but against all odds, she survived and has rehabilitated with a fresh lease on life and an amazing energy to perform onstage.
Kicking off their current world tour in Russia, Roxette had the crowds pumping to their old classics as well as a taste of their new album, Charm School and has followed with sell-out shows throughout Europe, South America and South Africa.
The Australian leg of Roxette's tour starts on 14 February 2012 in Brisbane and travels to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Featuring Australian Pop/Rock outfit, 1927; Roxette Live promises to be a great night out, complete with timeless hits from the 80s and 90s with some new tunes that have been well received around the world.
