21 of Australia's best rock singers and musicians will ensure
It's Getting Better when they
Come Together in August for a
Magical Mystery Tour around Australia. Be there for
A Day in the Life of
The Beatles Back2Back Concert tour, when the ground-breaking albums,
Abbey Road and
Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band will be performed - you guessed it - back to back.
The tour draws on the talents of Australian rock royalty to present the 30 classic songs that constitute the work of the Beatles in the creative but turbulent years from 1967 to 1969. Former Hunters and Collectors frontman, Mark Seymour heads the singing line-up, together with Irwin Thomas (also known as Jack Jones) from 90s band, Southern Sons. Also along for this rollicking musical ride are Jon Toogood (Shihad), Thirsty Merc's Rai Thistlethwayte, Dean McGrath (Hungry Kids of Hungary), and Trial Kennedy's Tim Morrison.
Musical Director Stewart D'Arrietta returns from his success with the 2009 White Album Concert, and is joined in this venture by Australian music industry stalwart Rex Goh. Helping to bring the vision of these iconic musical works into a sharp, modern focus is Vocal Arranger Lindsay Field, perhaps best known for his soulful backup vocals as a long-time member of the John Farnham Band.

These albums feature some of the Beatles' best loved, most critically debated and commercially successful songs including Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, With a Little Help From my Friends, Something, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, and Here Comes the Sun. Sergeant Pepper's (as it is often fondly shortened to) was released on June 1 1967 to much controversy and huge sales. It is rated at the top of Rolling Stone magazine's list of the
500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Abbey Road, released in 1969, was the Beatles' last recorded album, produced in the throes of their dissolution. It ranks Number 14 on the Greatest Albums list.
