Pump up your balls, slip into your shorts and shoot along to Hyde Park for an eight-day
festival of fabulous football, kicking off on the 21st of May.
The family event, which is expecting more than 80,000 visitors over the eight days, will feature five-a-side football tournaments, master classes, a football museum and, of course, lots of entertainment and refreshments.
Organised by the Union of European Football Associations (aka UEFA), the festival of football has been especially arranged to coincide with the women's UEFA Champions League Final taking place at Craven Cottage on the 26th of May, and the men's
UEFA Champions League Final (which happens to be the most watched annual sporting event in the world) at Wembley Stadium on the 28th of May.
The Museum of Champions in Hyde Park will be packed with football memorabilia and coolest of all, will give visitors the unique opportunity to have their photo taken with the prestigious UEFA Champions League Trophy.
Besides the museum, you'll also want to enjoy the audio-visual show at the Theatre of Champions, a presentation giving you the chance to relive famous moments from the competition's history, projected before you on a huge 180-degree screen.
Young Champions is a youth tournament taking place at the festival, organised by Adidas. It's a 5-a-side competition being run by schools and local community groups.
If you want to make some improvements to your own game (and you probably will) then you'll want to get involved in one of the skills clinics and coaching courses, being given by some top names in European football.
This one's going to be popular: the Ultimate Champions Match. Footballing legend
Gary Linekar will be leading a team of fellow blasts-from-the past (from the UK), taking on a similarly impressive line-up from the rest of Europe. The match takes place on the morning of the Champions League Final (28th of May).
The opening hours for the UEFA Champions Football Festival are as follows:
Saturday 21st to Sunday 22nd: 12 midday to 10.30pm
Monday 23rd to Thursday 26th: 12 midday to 8pm
Friday 27th: 12 midday to 10.30pm
Saturday 28th: 9am to 5pm
The organisers are keen to emphasise that it's very much an event for the whole family, so grab Gran and Grandad, and the kids, and get down there before the final whistle blows.
