The Wine Show 2011

Event: 11/11/2011 - 13/11/2011
The Wine Show, this year being held at Olympia, is your big chance to mingle with leading wine experts, meet some of the world's best wine producers, and try a vast array of wine - though not too much or you'll keel over before the day's out.

The Wine Show wouldn't seem right without expert and TV personality Oz Clarke putting in an appearance - this year you'll be able to find him in the Drinks Tasting Theatre waxing lyrical about some of the world's best wines available today.

Award-winning wine writer and broadcaster Susy Atkins will also be sharing tipple tips at the Drinks Tasting Theatre, and wine expert Ewan Lacey will be in attendance too. With Ewan's vast experience in the restaurant trade, he's the man to ask if you're looking for a decent wine/food match - click here to find out exactly where and when you can catch them.

The popular wine market is back again - this is a great opportunity to discover boutique wines that you wouldn't ordinarily find in your local supermarket. Buying a bottle or three here is a wonderful way to support small wine producers in this increasingly competitive market.

Exhibitors include Wines of Uruguay, Gastro Nicks, Hix & Buck, and Bordeaux Undiscovered.

With the show taking place just a month before Christmas, there'll be no better time to get the drinks in for the festive period.

Another feature of the show is the Coutts Private Wine Cellar, described by the event organisers as "a unique wine tasting experience where you can sample and buy a range of fantastic wines from some of the world's leading fine wine merchants."

Costing £15 a session, a visit to the Coutts Private Wine Cellar will also get you a variety of tasty meats and cheeses to go with your wine, supplied by British Fine Foods. Experts will also be on hand to discuss the wine and answer any questions.

Tickets for show are available now and best bought in advance. Entry for Friday and Sunday costs £20.50 in advance (£24.50 on the door), and £21.50 on Saturday (£25.50 on the door). Click here for more information on tickets.
