Once a year the Warrandyte Theatre Company host the Warrandyte Follies. An amateur theatre company that is anything but amateur.
Actors roll out the laughs in this old fashioned vaudeville stage show. Book a table or join with others, bring your grog and supper and snack away whilst laughing through a night of fun.
Tickets are around $20-25
As part of the Warrandyte Festival, held each year in March, you can come just for the Follies or bring the family and spend the day at the Warrandyte Festival, then round the night off at the Follies. (*Note the Follies are even more fun if you leave the kids at home in the evening).
In 2012 the follies travelled as far as outer space - who knows where they will end up every other year too

The fun of the 2012 season of the follies space oddity
The follies have been amusing audiences now for over 30 years. With material all written locally by members and friends of WTC (Warrandyte Theatre Company). Each year sees a lovely new theme and is presented in an informal cabaret-style, sharing with audience members the chance to eat, drink and be merry whilst being entertained in Warrandyte's unique style.
If you are inspired to practice your script writing, have a go at being on stage yourself or lend a hand with back of stage, art/prop/set/costume design. They are a friendly bunch and always eager to have new faces join in. Contact them for auditions or assistance.
